GT15A is a Class A, purpose-built recording amplifier. So it's sound is good free from hum and hiss. Although GT512 is only 5 watt's power amp, it has one 12 inches speaker and bigger cabinet ,which make sound big on your recording tracks. The single-ended Class A valve output stage allows the player to crank the volume control to the desired level-flat-out if necessary to achieve just the right amount of compression and distortion without the acoustic output becoming a nuisance. In a pro studio, this equates to less spill into other microphones, and in the home studio, less tendency to annoy the wife/flat mates/neighbors and restrict your recording time to moments when all of the above are out.
